The Spears Clan - There be fightin' in them thar hills!

A bizarre chain of events occurred over the weekend. Britney Spears' mother was announced as a guest on upcoming episodes of popular US chat show The View... and then suddenly disappeared from their line up!
The announcement had originally triggered ideas of a split between the embattled diva and her Momma, Lynne. The sudden and very quiet disappearance has not helped the impression!
Britney has been very quiet of late and frankly that suits everyone. Her lip-synched concerts went bust after fans were dejected and betrayed and continuing speculations about her suitability to be a parent have dogged her now for months since her very public meltdown.
Spears' has already infamously split from her father, who openly came out and stated that she was in no fit state to be mother to her two children. Carefully timed appearances with Spears very publicly being a "doting Mommy" to at least one of her children have not calmed fears.
A series of "deep" posts on Brit's Blog have also proved interesting reading as Brit pours out her heart in messages that scream out try hard a-la "I'm really quite fine! That wasn't me shaving my head and going psycho! No! I'm good! Really! Besides it's tough being famous! But I'm okay! I am! Honest! You can still pity me though! I love that! Not that I'm not okay! I'm better than okay! I'm super okay! Really!"
Just what Lynne Spears was planning to say on The View frankly blows the mind. Just what stopped her from doing so is equally intriguing. Perhaps she decided to sell her story instead. Perhaps Brit called and politely asked her not to.
