The Lohan Sisters Strike Again

May 11th 2007 00:20
Now I know what you're thinking. First: Lindsay Lohan doesn't have a sister! and second: dear God! Not more Lindsay Lohan!!!!

Well frankly Dina Lohan - aka Lindsay's mother - is so caught up with keeping up with her neuvo-celeb daughter that she has done everything BUT claim she is little Lindsay's sister, and surely it can't be far.
Dina, already top of the list for the celebrity wannabe of the decade award, has recently made in-roads into just why she exemplifies the expression "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". It hardly seems possible for Dina-darling to have outdone herself given her past movements - which have included dressing like Lindsay and keeping her hair colour as close to Lindsay's as possible... scary stuff!!!

The two are BFF (best-friends-forever) and oh the nausea!!!

Dina has never been backwards about soming forwards - especially if you happen to be holding a camera. She has also been known to offer to sign autographs on the red carpet without having been asked.
No doubt the astonished receivers smiled nostalgically to the tune of: "wow! I thought Dusty Springfield was dead!"

This time LaMaLohan has really outdone herself. Dina was recently hired by Entertainment Tonight as a journlist - no experience necessary - to cover the premiere of Lindsay's latest screen experience: Georgia Rule.
The picture was a bold move by little Lindsay. A family flick, it placed her on screen alongside Oscar nominee and the undoubtedly the most talented of the Desperate Housewives, Felicity Huffman. And, if that wasn't enough acting firepower, the cast was headed by veteran star and acting legend, Oscar winner Jane Fonda!
The picture was not without its scandals. Lindsay was reprimanded during production for her hard partying lifestyle, which apparantly saw her late to the set on several occassions and won her the impatience of the entire cast. Clearly Lindsay hasn't quite got the three w's...

"What to kiss
Whose to kiss and
When to kiss it!"
Surely this was the cast to impress! Oops!

But Dina Lohan has capped the proceedings off with a bang. At the premiere of Georgia Rule she was decked out in her finest alongside the compulsory premiere glitterati. Her task was to interview the cast as they made their way into the theatre. The idea no doubt was to get the mothers perspective on Lindsay Lohan the actress: a rare spotting these days. More often you'll see Lindsay Lohan the crack hound.

But back to our scene: Dina is ready, microphone in hand, bubbling with excitement. Well clearly someone forgot to tell Jane Fonda just who would be conducting the interviews because when she saw Dina her eyes nearly popped out of her head, but then no doubt she has heard of the term "conflict of interest".
But Jane knows by now when and where to make a scene, so she plastered on a smile and submitted to be interviewed. But then what could have prepared her for the Dina Lohan journalistic experience?
Dina's First Question: "So what's it like working with my daughter?"
To say Jane's jaw dropped does her facial muscles a severe disservice.
Realising she may have said the wrong thing Dina barrelled on...
Dina's second question: "It’s so hard for young stars today with the paparazzi and press - do you have any advice for my daughter?”
Jane's response: "If you screw it up now, you don’t get another chance!”
One wonders whether she was talking to Lindsay or Dina!

Admittedly you have to admire Dina's gaul for asking such a question (with a straight face) to a woman who was once herself a contraversy-generating starlet and a frequent winner of the Junior Miss Party-Hard-and-Excess pageant!
I have met Jane Fonda at a recent book signing episode in Brisbane, Australia. She was promoting her autobiography, had been on the road for weeks and had only just recovered from a serious illness. She was clearly tired and yet she still managed to sparkle.
I spoke to her for a good ten minutes and despite the fact that there was a queue over a thousand strong behind me she never faltered. Jokes, stories and even the admission that the book signing was "a big pain in the butt so I might as well enjoy it" were all forthcoming. One wonders just what level of obnoxiousness is required to shatter such genial calm!
Whatever it is, Dina Lohan has it in spades!
Clearly Lindsay's agent needs to have a word with her on that score.
"Uh Linds... could we maybe consider having less of your mother?"
*Long inhaling sound*
"Huh?"
Oh what a tangled web!
