The MPDG (Manic Pixie Dream Girl)

I first became aware of the MPDG phenomenon while reading this review of Zooey Deschanel's TV show New Girl. I can't tell you what possessed me to read said review - after all, I haven't watched TV in years, and even if I did there's little chance I'd ever watch something like this - but what stuck with me was just how ubiquitous this kind of character has become.

The arrest of Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop

Is this Hollywood news? Nope, not even close, but I'm putting it here because some things you just have to share. Readers, meet Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop. He's 30, single, and currently under arrest for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and a violation of probation.... but that's all a bit ordinary, really, when held up next to his (genuinely unique) name change.
