A nude scene for Harry Potter?

December 8th 2009 22:08
Daniel Radcliffe is no stranger to performing in the buff, but he's certainly never done it as Harry Potter! According to reports, however, there will be not one, but two nude scenes for the young wizard in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. Radcliffe, 20, is very comfortable with nude scenes but I'm not so sure about his audience... it will definitely be interesting to see how the filmmakers manage to pull this off while keeping the family-friendly vibe of the film series intact.

And then there were three...

October 10th 2009 06:01
Given the recent surge in "third movie" installments, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Hollywood has been running out of ideas! The latest franchise to fall victim to the dreaded three is Ghostbusters, which is set to begin production on its third installment in a matter of months. Despite the fact that the sequel came out two decades ago, almost the entire original cast has been signed on for the third movie, and rumour has it that the original director Ivan Reitman will be taking the helm once again.

Quentin Tarantino has announced his plans to make a third Kill Bill movie within the next few years. Appearing on an Italian talk show, the master filmmaker said that a 10-year break between Kill Bill Vol.2 and Kill Bill Vol.3 would be ideal, to allow Uma Thurman's character to "have a break" after all that she's been through... but that, when the time is right, "The Bride will fight again!"

Thanks to Film School Rejects we have some of the first images from the highly anticipated second Twilight installment, New Moon, which is due to hit cinemas in November. Those Volturi look like a force to be reckoned with... and Dakota Fanning looks to have grown into a beautiful young woman (despite her creepy red eyes). With tickets for the film's first screenings already being sold in Australia, New Moon is set to be a supernatural success.

A third Bridget Jones movie?

July 16th 2009 11:57
Speculation was rife last year that a third Bridget Jones movie was to be made, despite there being no third book by Helen Fielding to base it on. However, it seems that this time, the rumours are true: Working Title has confirmed that it has begun developing the film, set for release in 2011. Renee Zellweger is expected to reprise her role as the bumbling, lovable Bridget - and this time, she'll be trying for a baby.

We're not always dreaming of Hollywood - often the most original, moving and innovative films are made right in our own backyard. Samson and Delilah is the story of troubled young love set against the desert backdrop of Alice Springs, and it's just won the prize for the best first feature at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
