Ledger among this year's Oscar nominees

Exactly a year after the young actor's death, Heath Ledger has been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actor category, for his unforgettable performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight. This is Ledger's second nomination, the first being for his role in Brokeback Mountain three years ago. Surprisingly, The Dark Knight was snubbed in both the Best Picture and Best Director categories, but insiders are already betting that Ledger will have a posthumous win.
The Academy Awards will take place on February 22nd. Here is the full list of nominees:
