Keira Knightley is not anorexic

Hollywood actress Keira Knightley has been insisting for years that she is not, and never has been, anorexic - in 2006 she told reporters, "Whatever people say about my weight they are all wrong. I'm not saying there aren't people in the film industry that suffer from [anorexia], because I am sure that there are. But I'm quite sure I don't have it."
And recently, her mother has reiterated her comments, saying "She has always been thin. She eats like a horse. I always want to apologize because she eats anything that she wants and she does not put on weight."
Still, her rail-thin appearance over the past two years has sparked a media circus, with claims she does not eat in order to maintain the waif look that is so popular in Hollywood. Knightley has vehemently denied these claims, and declared that "Hollywood is all about the way you look, and I don't think that's the healthy thing for anyone. But, if you're strong and comfortable with yourself, then you're going to be fine."
Here's hoping that young women who are not able to eat anything they want without gaining weight don't see her as the ideal body type - because most of us are not fortunate enough to be so naturally thin.
