Jennifer Aniston turns 40
February 11th 2009 05:39
The star of Friends and many Hollywood romantic comedies is celebrating her 40th birthday today. The actress, who shot to fame over ten years ago and who hasn't been far from the headlines since, feels "ready for some fun" now that her thirties are over. She recently told journalists, "I just want to have fun this year. I see my life in decades. This one feels worthy of some fun because I feel like I'm getting through a decade that was... let's just say I'm ready to say 'See ya!' to this last one."
Some would say that the Hollywood star has been unlucky in love. Since splitting with former husband Brad Pitt (who now has six children with Angelina Jolie), the star has been linked to several high-profile men, including fellow actor Vince Vaughn. She is currently in an on-again, off-again relationship with musician John Mayer. Some speculated that the reason for Aniston's breakup with Pitt was her refusal to have children, but Aniston firmly denies this, saying "I've always wanted to have children and I would never again give up that experience for a career."
But for now, it's all about her acting, though the tabloids are keeping an eagle eye on any possible baby bumps. Her newest film is the highly-publicised He's Just Not That Into You, starring alongside Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Ginnifer Goodwin, Ben Affleck, Justin Long and Jennifer Connelly, in Aussie cinemas now.
