Jackie Chan planning film about China earthquake

Jackie Chan is planning to make a film highlighting the plight of victims in last week's China earthquake. The Hollywood martial arts hero returned to his home country as soon as he heard about the quake, which has killed over 60,000 people and left millions of others homeless. After visiting hospitals in the devastated areas, Chan, 54, decided that the victims of the earthquake were to become his main priority.
"I want to do whatever I can to help," he says. Chan has already donated $1.4 million to those affected and praised the international communities that have come to China's aid. "One thing that really touched me was the help offered from the whole world. From Britain, Korea – everyone was there to help," he said.
Chan will be holding a meeting to discuss his plans for the intended film, and says "There are so many touching stories. Through this movie, we will be able to show the whole world what happened. This will also be another way to raise money."

Victims in other countries certainly have needs but we have to be careful not to disturb their own balance of life with our bigger, better, faster life.
We are not really sharing when we do this, but riding in on a Trojan horse pretending to be helpers when we really want to develop new consumers by having them adapt the western culture.
