Self-made millionaires by the time they were 10, worth an approximate US$150 million each by age seventeen, Hollywood's youngest ever producers at six and now at twenty-one, billionaire's Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have lived what can only be described as phenomenal existances that poor other mere mortals to shame!
Receiving their first major acting gig at age two, they were cast as the same character on the TV show Full House and used to take turns playing the role of the Tv sitcom family's youngest daughter Michelle as a result of strict child labour laws.
Since then they have swiftly constructed for themselves a media and a fashion empire of epic proportions. With a series of TV movies and Tv series including their You're Invited to Mary-Kate and Ashley's series and The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley series they have turned themselves into two of TV's most popular child-time stars.
Hitting their teens they began to design clothes as everyone has to have a hobby now don't they. Their Mary-Kate and Ashley line of clothes for kids and young teens went on sale at Wal-Mart and made them a mint. Despite critics claiming that the clothing tried to dress kids up as adults their line sold and still sells like hot cakes.
Marketing themselves and their products to perfection, they have created innocent icons of themselves that have gone down a treat.
The twins turned 21 on June 13 and their personal fortunes are now reportedly in the billions. They have lived lives almost entirely devoid of usual Hollywood scandal - though Mary-Kate did reportedly suffer from an eating disorder for a short period - and now the only question is just where they go from here?
The two have certainly emerged as fashion icons to be reckoned with in recent years so it can be assumed that they will slowly update their fashion line to include some more sophisticated couture. Certainly they cannot be content with making TV movies - something of a jealousy provoked joke in Hollywood.
Time will certainly tell. In the meantime, while the dynamic duo at a hideously young age has enough cash to afford them never having to work again, their ceaseless past efforts seem to make it clear, they won't be settling down anytime soon.
