"I'll be back! ... right after this business with Paris Hilton is over!"

May 15th 2007 05:23
Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has displayed once again that working in movies has taught him when to stand up and fight... and when to run and jam your head firmly into the sand!
The contraversial Paris Hilton scandal continue to rock Hollywood. The blonde starlet... though a more derogatory term is surely in order, is set to be imprisoned in a matter of weeks for 45 long days. Tears in court, a prolonged shopping spree and a legal appeal claiming she should not be imprisoned because (a) she is too pretty and (b) she is a role model have all come to nought - what a shock!
Paris has reportedly told friends that she is terrified of what will happen to her "on the inside". Frankly who could blame her? Hell she may even sober up! Now that truly is the thin end of the wedge! The end of society as we know it!

In order to spare the world and all its beautiful people this heinous fate, Paris has gone online and rounded up a posse of chihuahua wielding blonde stick figures all prepared to sign a petition addressed specifically to the Californian Governor - he can legally grant her a pardon, or clemency or some other such reprieve. Basically he can get her out of it, and Paris has people she pays to not be stupid for her just in case of such emergencies.
The petition states: "the American public who support Paris are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk driving is wrong."
Riiightt... so, just who should be used to display that drink driving is wrong if not a drink driver? Oh the sheer self indulgence of it all! Once again Paris has not cottened onto the fact that she is (a) not popular and (b) really does herself no favours by talking. Had she shut up and let her lawyers handle it, maybe released a dignified - I wonder does she know that word? - statement to the press expressing remorse perhaps she would have done better for herself.

Presuming to be above the law and the commoners it is supposed to apply to really is only managing to further unite public perception against her.
But Arnie, just what was his response to said online petition?
"I've never got any request. But I have many more important things to think about."
He knows his stuff. Now just who would ever have suspected that the day would arrive when anybody would praise Arnold "Rambo" Schwarzenegger for his subtle nature?
If you listen carefully you can hear hell freezing over!
