He's Mad as Hell!

For those of you who follow Grey's Anatomy you'll be horrified when I spoil the entire third season by stating that Dr Preston Burke packs his bags in the final episode and he is not coming back anytime soon.
Isaiah Washtington, who plays Burke, was informed this week that he would not be rehired for the upcoming fourth season and apparantly he ain't happy about it. That said, apparantly the entire Grey's ensemble is discreetly breathing one big-ass sigh of relief!
Washington caused controversy earlier this year when reports emerged that he had gotten into a fight with co-star Patrick Dempsey. Apparantly McDreamy wasn't happy when Washington referred to their co-star T.R. Knight as a "f***ot".
The comment was then very indiscreetly repeated at the Golden Globe Awards!
As a result Knight was forced to come out and Washington was forced to go and get counselling.
The after-effects have been continuous and far-reaching with tension on the Grey's set being astronomical whenever Washington has been at work. Dempsey has apparantly been particualrly cold around his co-star while Knight has definitely been keeping his distance.
The result has been that the shows creator Shonda Rimes contacted the actor this week to inform him that he was "not invited back to the show next season."
Washington's response was to say the least creapy!
"I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
Woooooooo!!! Somebody has been watching the movie Network a little bit too much!
Many people may believe that Washington's dismissal from the show may be something of an extreme reaction to a situation that might have been resolved by bringing the parties together for some (by the sounds of it) long overdue counselling.
I would like to remind those people that had Washington made a race-hate remark he would probably be in prison by now!
For the most part all I have to say is that so long as the show doesn't suffer... I'm good. And Washington can watch Network and get as MAD as he likes till his hearts content!
