Heath Ledger biography 'grossly inaccurate'

A book written about late Hollywood star Heath Ledger has been slammed by his family as being "grossly inaccurate" for inferring that the actor was mentally ill. Heath: A Family's Tale, written by Janet Fife-Yeomans, apparently contains quotes about the star from people who barely knew him, as well as some distant and estranged family members. Furthermore, the book's title implies that Heath's close family were involved in its production, when they "have never contributed to or authorised any publications about [Heath]".
The book suggests that before his accidental drug overdose on January 22nd this year, the star suffered from bipolar disorder, as his estranged uncle Haydn does (who was interviewed for the book). The family said in a statement released on Friday that the book contains "gross inaccuracies, false allegations and many incorrect and unsubstantiated comments about Heath in his youth, provided by estranged family members and some people who had little to do with Heath's life."
The Ledger family has been in turmoil since the young actor's death, with rifts forming between Heath's father and his brothers. In addition to this there were issues with the insurance company in regards to his life insurance policy, and the problems that arose when Matilda was not included in the actor's will (she is now set to inherit his entire estate). And now this unauthorised book. This is one Hollywood saga that doesn't seem to have an ending.
