Getting catty: Hilary Duff vs Faye Dunaway
February 4th 2009 04:19
Young starlet Hilary Duff has lashed out at ageing Hollywood legend Faye Dunaway after the older woman allegedly scoffed at the idea of Duff playing gun-toting Bonnie Parker in the upcoming remake of Bonnie and Clyde.
Dunaway, who played Bonnie in the 1967 original, is alleged to have said "Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?" when she learned that Duff would be taking on the role.
Duff, who has kept a relatively low profile in Hollywood over the last two years, told journalists that "I think my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is," regarding Dunaway, before adding, "I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too." Ouch!
