Foxy lady!

June 24th 2009 07:54
Transformers star Megan Fox is one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood right now, but there's more to this beauty than meets the eye! Not only is she beautiful, talented and sexy (FHM readers voted her as being the sexiest woman in the world last year) - she's also smart, candid, and surprisingly down-to-earth.

"I just sort of fell into this," the 23-year-old Tennessee native says of her acting career. Fox was a successful model before appearing in films like Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, but it wasn't until she featured in the first Transformers movie that she became an undeniable rising star. However, she is wise enough to know that it is her beauty that allowed her to get a foot in the proverbial door.

"Don't you hate it when people complain: 'I'm too beautiful to get this part?' That's bullshit. Hollywood is the most superficial thing you could possibly be a part of. If I weren't attractive, I wouldn't be working at all."

Now that her looks have made her a household name, she's ready to prove that she can act as well. "[Transformers] got me to a place where now it gives me an opportunity to work on skills and hopefully develop a talent that people will appreciate. If anything, it helps me because people's expectations are so low that I can only be an overachiever," she says.

Although the self-confessed homebody prefers to keep a low profile in Hollywood, she's become a favourite of the paparazzi and is regularly photographed grocery shopping or eating dinner with her boyfriend of five years, Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green. As for what Fox thinks is sexy? "Intelligent men are sexy," she answers without hesitation.

See Megan Fox in the highly anticipated Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, in Aussie cinemas now.

She can act? I wasn't aware.

Sorry, I don't mean to be cheeky, I just think she needs to work on her acting skills.

I suppose it's a matter of opinion, but in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People I thought she was quite funny, and comedy is considered to be the most difficult genre to perform.

Honestly I think she just needs a greater diversity of roles to flex her acting muscles in... right now she's simply being typecast as the babe. Perhaps she needs to do a Charlize Theron in Monster - be given an ugly makeunder, and see how she performs then.

Cheers for the comment

I haven't seen How to Lose Friends and Alienate People - I'll have to rent that one this weekend. I love Simon Pegg and I completely forgot that she was in it.
