Christian Bale's scary temper

It seems Hollywood star Christian Bale has a temper to be reckoned with! Rumours circulated last July that he'd let loose at a crew member on the set of Terminator: Salvation, ranting at the director of photography for several minutes with the f-word taking centre stage, and now that rumour has been confirmed with the leaking of the footage (listen to it here).
"I want you off the set! You prick!" the actor is heard yelling at Shane Hurlbut. "No, don't just be sorry! Think for one f---ing second! What the f--k are you doing? Are you professional or not?" Apparently Hurlbut had interrupted a particularly intense scene.
Despite this, the assistant director of the film Bruce Franklin claims that Bale is a "consummate professional" and that he was just having a bad day. "If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove... [it] was the most emotional scene in the movie," said Franklin. "And for him to get stopped in the middle of it. He is very intensely involved in his character. He didn't walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed."
Bale's temper had previously hit the headlines last year after a public spat with his mother and sister, during which it was claimed the Batman star physically assaulted them. He was later cleared of any wrongdoing.

Aside from my personal romance with masochisim, I can completely understand filming a 12 hour day, thinking to yourself, yeah, we can get this scene done in maybe two takes, Im focused, Im on....WTF is that?! As someone who often spits like that and leaves bystanders slack jawed, I can get how he feels. Everyone's looking at you like theres smoke coming out of your nose, and your like, "Guys. They're just words. I'm cool now"
