Cannes 2008: Angelina Jolie promotes Kung Fu Panda

A radiant Angelina Jolie hit the red carpet in Cannes with her partner Brad Pitt to promote her new children's film Kung Fu Panda. Wearing a floor-length forest-green gown that covered her growing baby bump, the actress spoke happily of her family and assured journalists that she was up to the rigours of the festival. "It's not such hard work, I'm just sitting and talking a lot and everybody is being very nice to me. Everybody said if I was feeling too pregnant I didn't have to come, so I'm feeling all right," she said.
Kung Fu Panda is set in China and Jolie said she was delighted to make an Asian-inspired film which would appeal to her two eldest children. "All my children are from different parts of the world and especially for my boys, we have teachers who teach Vietnamese and Cambodian in our house. They know their flags and their music and quite a lot about their culture, and that's something that will continue as they grow older. I was thrilled when this film came my way because I know how much it would mean to them.
"Our eldest three have seen the film and they loved it. They are my biggest critics."
The family is currently staying on the French Riviera, and when asked as to whether France would be the place for Angelina to give birth to her twins, she said "I actually haven't completely decided but we are certainly thinking of France. French is a second language in our house. I'm still learning so I'm not going to attempt it here today. My children are starting to speak French so being here is very good for their language skills."
Fanning rumours of more children, when asked if she was to have more babies in the future, Jolie replied "More babies? Who knows? You know me." Right now Brad and Angelina have four children - Maddox (6), Pax (4), Zahara (3) and Shiloh (2) - with what is believed to be twin girls on the way.
The actress will return to the festival next week as the star of Changeling, a 1920s thriller directed by Clint Eastwood.
